TV Mounting in San Antonio
I mount your TV into the studs at the right height, hide the cables inside the wall, and set everything up before I leave.
Open Mon–Fri 8–7, Saturday 9–5. House calls all over Bexar County.

A mounted TV looks clean only if the cables disappear and the screen sits at a height you can watch for two hours. I plan both before drilling anything.
What I do
- Find the studs and mount the bracket into them, not just into drywall
- Mount on brick and stone, including fireplaces, with masonry anchors
- Help you pick the height and the mount: fixed, tilting or full-motion
- Run HDMI, Ethernet and speaker wire inside the wall to a plate near the floor or your media console
- Install an in-wall power kit so the TV’s plug is hidden too
- Mount soundbars, center speakers and streaming boxes neatly with the TV
- Connect and set up the TV, soundbar and streaming apps, then check every input works
In-wall wiring
Beyond TVs, I run cable inside walls for speakers, Ethernet to an office or game room, and wiring between a media closet and the living room. Wired Ethernet is still the most reliable way to stream 4K or play online games, and it’s a good fix when Wi-Fi can’t reach a room.
Pricing
Mounting a TV up to 65 inches is $149 plus the mount. Hiding the wires in the wall with a power kit is $129 more. Larger TVs, brick or stone walls, and fireplace mounts add $50. If you want me to supply the mount, I quote it with the job. See the full price list for my other services. I cover San Antonio, Bexar County, Boerne and Schertz.
Common questions
- How much does TV mounting cost?
- $149 to mount a TV up to 65 inches, plus the mount. Hiding the wires inside the wall with an in-wall power kit is $129 more, so a full clean install is $278 plus the mount. TVs over 65 inches, brick or stone walls, and mounts above a fireplace are $50 extra.
- Can you hide the TV cables in the wall?
- Yes. I run the HDMI and other cables behind the drywall to a wall plate near the floor or your media console. For power, I install a rated in-wall power kit rather than running a regular extension cord through the wall, which isn’t safe or up to code.
- What height should my TV be mounted at?
- For most living rooms, the middle of the screen should be close to eye level when you’re seated, which is usually around 42 inches off the floor. I’ll check it from your couch before drilling anything.
- Can you mount a TV above a fireplace?
- Yes, though it’s often higher than is comfortable to watch. A mount that pulls down and tilts fixes most of that. I’ll also check how hot the wall gets so the TV isn’t sitting in the heat.
- Can you mount a TV on brick or stone?
- Yes. Brick and stone fireplaces are common in San Antonio homes, and I mount on them with masonry anchors drilled into solid brick or stone, not the mortar lines. Wires can’t run inside a masonry wall the way they do in drywall, so I’ll show you the options for hiding them before I start.
- Do I need to buy the mount?
- You can, or I can pick one that fits your TV’s size, weight and mounting pattern and the way you want it to move. Fixed, tilting and full-motion mounts each suit different rooms.
- Can you set up the soundbar and streaming box too?
- Yes. I connect the soundbar, streaming box and game consoles, get them on your Wi-Fi, and set things up so one remote runs it all. For a full surround system, see home theater and AV.
