A good home theater is mostly planning. The right speakers in the wrong spots sound worse than cheaper speakers placed well, and a receiver with the wrong inputs leaves you swapping cables behind the TV. I start with the room and how you’ll use it, then pick equipment that fits.

What I do

Upgrades to an existing system

You don’t have to start over. Adding a center speaker or subwoofer, replacing an old receiver that won’t pass 4K, or fixing a setup that never sounded right are all common jobs. If your Wi-Fi drops out on the TV, I can fix the network at the same time.

Pricing

The walk-through is free. You get a parts list with prices and one flat price for the installation, and you decide before anything is ordered. See the full price list for my other services. I cover San Antonio, Bexar County, Boerne and Schertz.

Common questions

How much does a home theater cost to install?
It depends on the room and the equipment. I come out for a free walk-through, put together a parts list with prices, and quote the installation as one flat price. You approve the list before anything gets ordered.
Can you work with equipment I already have?
Yes. If your TV or speakers are good, I’ll build around them and only suggest replacing what’s holding the system back.
Do I need an AV receiver, or is a soundbar enough?
For a bedroom or a small living room, a good soundbar is often enough. For a dedicated theater room or real surround sound, a receiver with separate speakers sounds much better. I’ll tell you which fits your room and budget.
Can you make it work with one remote?
Yes. I set up the TV, receiver and streaming box so one remote turns everything on and switches between them, and I show everyone in the house how it works.
